SOCIAL IMPACT PROGRAM

SOCIAL IMPACT PROGRAM

Why are we doing this?

Food insecurity has dramatically increased across the globe and in our own backyards.

Kids are hungry.

Millions of families in North America have slipped into poverty, hunger and homelessness due to the rising costs of living, food and shelter.

How does it work?

  • Students complete do-gooder challenges based on a wide array of impact themes including: climate action, equality and mental health;

  • Students complete these challenges to earn meals for hungry kids;

  • With funding from our sponsors, all of these ‘earned’ meals are then donated to local organizations to feed children within their community;

  • Along the way, students are empowered to build their social impact and develop their character.

Students are inspired to do good while fighting food insecurity.

  • Sponsorship dollars are held in trust with allocations for student prizing;

  • Students complete challenges to earn meals for hungry kids;

  • Sponsors receive detailed, marketing ready reports on the good they inspired through students AS WELL AS meals delivered to the community;

  • Sponsors receive a tax receipt from the local food insecurity charity.

Sponsors receive a donation receipt and student impact report.

Innovators at the Halton Catholic District School Board joined forces with the Halton Catholic Children’s Foundation and The Social Impact Games to use gamification to inspire kindness & community building.

The results were nothing short of inspirational...

Teacher
”Our class personally loved the social impact games. It was a great way to learn new things, make an impact and spread kindness to others.”

”I loved it so much this does so much for our community this is such a good way to get people involved with the community I hope to see this next year.”
